   Time for the elections and the campaign statement!

   DISTRICT SECRETARIES, PLEASE VOTE FOR THE 2005 EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE-
   We make a great team.

    I am nominated for a second time for the Member-At-Large position.

   We have had a busy year handling and discussing many class issues with
   the goal to fortify the NA Laser fleet with support and consideration
   for every member of the NA district.

   As a member of the executive committee, I have participated in many
   hours of conversations and meetings while supporting the class office
   and their professional endeavors.

    The class office has arguably worked closely with the executive
   committee and has sought to provide world class management and service
   to the membership.

    I have been to several major regattas in 2005 and have listened and
   asked questions and have willingly  raised the issues and concerns
   during meetings,  conference calls and by committee emails. I have
   spoken up about gender issues, masters racing, membership dues, and
   "Laser Sailor" issues.
    The membership will see some additional elements and ideas in play
   for 2006.

    You noticed a new decal in black and white. I helped get that back on
   the agenda and to the memberships. Responding to regatta planning and
   support, I have been there checking in on things. Membership issues;
   it's about each and every paying member of the laser class that
   counts.

    Also, I spend time in consideration and response to policy issues and
   ideas for membership service while communicating with the executive
   committee members and the class office, Sherri and Jerelyn.

    As district secretary, I launched and revived the district 11
   website, with the great support of a young sailor in Virginia, Jon
   Deutsch-Fishing Bay YC.
    As a volunteer for the laser class and district 11;I gladly make the
   time
    to sign-up new members, answer emails, phone calls,
   promote/announce and support laser sailing by attending many regattas
   and regional series. And I get time in to write and report on many
   things about the laser regatta and the laser sailor.
