I bought a new lower from a Vanguard dealer in NC when I was down doing the nationals. I have used this lower approximately 10 days and the rivets to the gooseneck are loose and the mast is bent at the load point where the Vang tang is set. I'm 45, so I don't supervang the rig as its hard to get under the boom. My Sunfish/Laser lower lasted me 8 years without bending so I don't feel that this is a case of abuse.
Should I bring the bent lower back to any reputable dealer for warrantee? I do not think I can find the receipt, although I can find the charge on my bank statement. I don't want to have to go through the NC dealer as I live in New York.
