2005 Laser NA's

Congratulations to Andrew Campbell for winning in a very tough 96 boat 
fleet with a remarkable string of five first place finishes in eight 
races. Andrew was followed by Bernie Luttmer and Andrew Childs. Jennifer 
Spaulding bested the 69 boat Radial fleet followed closely by Kyle 
Rogachenko and then Victoria Crowder.

The regatta had something for everyone with the winds getting stronger 
each day of sailing, from 5 knots on the first tday to pushing 15-18 on 
the final day (which, sadly, I had to miss). The sailing was tough, a 
very much "head out of the boat" kind of regatta and I am really amazed 
at how the top people in both fleets were able to keep up at the front 
of these very competitive fleets.

A moment to remember: Warren Miller pulling in from cruising further 
north just in time to see his son Kurt, back in a Laser after a 23 year 
absence, round the weather mark in 2nd place. Maybe, some 30 years 
later, we'll get another Laser movie!
