There are still active and competitive fleets of Sandy Douglas Highlanders, 
Flying Scots and Thistles here in Ohio.  Most, if not all Highlanders have 
rod travelers.  The best way to use any large dingy/small keelboat trim 
knowledge for a Laser would be to disregard any tendency to compare and start 
a whole new "Laser trim learning curve."
