Here! Here! I agree totally with Ken and Paul. Let's keep materials the way they are now. The guy with normal skills and fairly basic tools can now make a very competative boat at a reasonable cost and effort. I happen to like Basswood and Ash and know I can build a hull, plank and boom for under $400 (less hardware), I doubt you can do that with composites.
