I did heat the expoy and used some colloidal silica microballoons. Still it was pretty runny and I was able to work it down by moving the runner blade side to side a few mm.
The end result after a day of sailing in moderate conditions was that one runer held up fine, the other has started to let go again on one side only - so there is some progress. I will try again....
